2017 Movie and Book List

So I’ve been trying something new. As I purchase many of the movies I see I’m attempting to see less theatrical releases and watch stuff at home. (This is in part due to my dislike of the new design, “fancy” theaters where you pre-buy your seats.) This list consists of all the 2017 release films I’ve seen along with older films which had theatrical showings I saw in theater. Of the things I saw two Japanese films, Shin Godzilla and Your Name (Kimi No Na Wa,) were among the best. Notable not seen yets are: Blade Runner, Blade of the Immortal, The Greatest Showman and Lady Bird. The biggest let downs were the trashy but I love them Underworld and Resident Evil releases as they were both just terrible — even by my standards for this type of film.
